Your data stays on your phone.
Effective July 20, 2026
The short version
ScreenToll reads your movement from Apple Health and manages your app blocks with Apple's Screen Time controls. All of it happens on your iPhone. We do not run servers that collect your data, we have no accounts, we show no ads, and we never sell or share your information.
If you delete the app, the data goes with it.
Who we are
ScreenToll is built by Endurance Labs. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email dev@endurancelabs.co.
Health and fitness data
With your permission, ScreenToll reads activity data from Apple Health (HealthKit): your steps, active energy burned, and heart rate. We use it on your device, and only to:
- convert your movement into coins,
- measure your progress toward your daily goal, and
- track your streak.
This data is never sent off your device, never sold, and never used for advertising or shared with data brokers. We do not use Health data for any purpose other than the features above, consistent with Apple's HealthKit requirements. You choose exactly what ScreenToll can read, and you can change or revoke that access anytime in the iOS Health app or Settings.
Screen Time data
ScreenToll blocks apps using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. You pick the apps to block, and iOS enforces the shields on your device. ScreenToll does not see the content of your activity or a history of everything you use. It works with the app selections you make and the timed unlock windows you earn, all handled locally. Consistent with Apple's terms for this feature, Screen Time data is never used for advertising and never shared with data brokers.
What's stored, and where
Your settings and progress (your chosen currency and goal, your streak history, your blocked-app selection, and today's spending ledger) are stored locally on your device (including in a private app group so the blocking extensions can read them). None of it is uploaded to us or anyone else.
No account, no tracking
ScreenToll has no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs to track you. Any anonymous, aggregate download or crash statistics come from Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, ScreenToll sends local reminders (for example, when your streak is at risk or an unlock window is ending). These are generated on your device. We do not operate a push server and do not send you marketing messages.
Third-party trackers
Devices like Apple Watch, Whoop, Garmin, Fitbit, and Oura reach ScreenToll through Apple Health. You connect them to Apple Health, and ScreenToll reads the combined result. We do not receive your data directly from those companies. If we ever add an optional direct connection to a third-party service, any sign-in tokens would be stored securely in your device's Keychain and data would be fetched directly between your device and that service; we'll update this policy before enabling anything like that.
Children
ScreenToll is intended for people managing their own screen time and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your control
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it:
- Manage or revoke Health access in the iOS Health app or Settings.
- Manage Screen Time access in iOS Settings.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored ScreenToll data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how ScreenToll handles data, we'll post the updated policy here with a new effective date.
